I took the photo while we were in Florence, Oregon. I have a color crush on that photo. White, blue, and pops of an orange-ish rust. The painting by Havoc on the right is so simple and beautiful to me. The inside blue square of water and waves is abstract but at the same time, somehow realistic to me. I feel like I've seen that in nature.
I had a realization recently while I was down near St. George, Utah visiting my grandparents. I got my love for photography from my Grandpa. Neither one of us claim to be professionals, we just truly enjoy getting outside and capturing something pretty.
He goes on drives and walks specifically to take photos. I do the same. My dream vacation would be to go on a photo vacation, with no time constraints or obligations to keep driving. I could stop as many times as I wanted, and take my time to get a photo I was proud of.
He also has large black and white photos he took over 30 years ago hanging on the walls of his home. See some of them HERE.
